We are a multicultural population, consisting of approximately 500 plus students. We are working to improve reading, writing, and mathematics by providing students with excellent instruction, including tutoring before, during and after school. A school-wide writing curriculum is again being implemented in an effort to increase scores on The Florida Writes!
We also offer before and after school activities to enhance the reading, writing, and mathematics programs, such as Academic Excellence, tutoring and the “Book Buddies” program. Lake Stevens encourages the students to participate in various clubs and organizations, such as Safety Patrol, T.V. Crew, Future Educators, Cheerleaders and Boy & Girl Scouts.
The EESAC and PTA meet at least once per quarter. The meeting schedule varies, therefore notices will be sent out at least five days before the scheduled meetings.
All parents and community members are encouraged to attend.
